Embracing Emergence Christianity

What is Emergence Christianity?  What does it have to do with my faith community?

The church is in a time of upheaval and transformation.  We might feel despair but we look for hope.  Emergence Christianity is a movement of hope for what God will do with us next.

Over two Saturdays, we will look at what Emergence Christianity is, what it might look like and how it might unfold in our various faith communities and churches. What are the implications of this “Great Emergence”? What are the key questions and issues that need to be addressed?

The workshops will be based on Embracing Emergence Christianity: Phyllis Tickle on the Church’s Next Rummage Sale, by Phyllis Tickle with Tim Scorer.

Leadership Team:  Brad Morrison; Jeff Crittenden; Judith Fayter

Dates and Location:Saturday, April 5, 10 am to 3 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church, Chatham

Saturday, May 3 , 10 am to 3 pm at Sprucedale United Church Chatham

Cost: $30 per day or $50 for both; includes your own copy of Embracing Emergence Christianity and lunch.
